Class Schedule

The Association conducts four regularly scheduled classes each year. One class in March is designed to accommodate those students unable to attend classes on a weekend, and does not include gun handling or live firing activities. The other classes are held in the months of August, September and October. These classes include instruction as well as gun handling, live firing of .22 rifles, shotguns and archery as well as a safety trail walk activity. Students must be 11 years of age to take any of the classes, and must attend all classes and activities associated with the class. Students under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Students and parents are asked to dress appropriately according to the weather, and to bring water or a suitable drink. The Association does provide some drinking water, but supplies are limited. All classes are free of charge, and all materials and equipment are provided. Students from these classes may be eligible to participate in one of several youth hunts that are conducted by the Association. Details on these hunts are provided at class time.
