Public Range Days 2019

The Association opens its ranges to the public eleven times throughout the year. The ranges include the following: A 100 yard rifle range equipped with a covered shooting area, shooting benches and a pistol shooting area. A five stand trap shooting area equipped with a “wobble” trap, and an archery range equipped with 3D targets. All ranges are supervised by volunteer instructors. A nominal fee is asked to offset costs of targets and equipment. Any monies leftover are used in the hunter education program.

The ranges are open from 10:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. on the following dates:

  • March 23rd
  • April 13th
  • May 18tH
  • June 8th and 22nd
  • July 6th and 20th
  • August 24th
  • Sept 21st
  • Oct 19th
  • Nov 16th

Eye and ear protection is required on the rifle and shotgun ranges. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All guns must be unloaded until instructed to load. Follow all commands by range officers at all times. Rifle and pistol cartridges are limited to .45 caliber or smaller, and “ball” ammunition is not allowed. Shotgun ammunition is limited to no larger than 7 ½ shot, unless approved by range officer. All guns are to be handled in a safe manner and pointed down range or in the air at all times. Alcohol and/or narcotics use will not be tolerated. Other range rules may apply.
